Snow leopards in Tibet seen again

On the afternoon of March 19, a group of forest rangers from Yuxi Township, Lholong County, Chamdo, Tibet Autonomous Region found two snow leopards walking leisurely along the road during their daily patrol. The ranger named Losong Radan took the opportunity and took photos for them.

“So cute, so close! We’re protecting you. I’m a forest ranger, and I won’t hurt you.” The ranger whispered. From his words, you can clearly feel that the forest and wildlife protection awareness of the masses in Tibet has been greatly improved.

It is understood that forest rangers in Yuxi Township sometimes can find wild animals such as snow leopards in their daily patrols. And the clear images of wild snow leopards taken by the road at a close distance have once again proved the obvious improvement of ecological environment in Lholong County.

In recent years, Tibet’s ecological environment has been greatly protected and restored after implementing a number of ecological construction projects and a series of ecological compensation policies. Snow leopards, which were once hard to find, frequently appear now in many places in Tibet, showing the continuous improvement of Tibet’s ecological environment and the remarkable achievements in biodiversity conservation, further confirming that Tibet is still one of the regions with the best ecological environment in the world.
