Exhibition of photography works opens in Lhasa

LHASA,Oct.21(China Tibet Online)The third "Tibet in my eyes" national photography works competition and exhibition took place in Tibet's People’s Arts Center. More than 90 photos are on display featuring Tibet’s landscape, arts and people’s daily life.

As a source of mountains and rivers, Tibet has always been known for its beautiful landscape and rich culture, attracting the world’s attention, especially that of professional and amateur photographers.

Sponsored by the State Council Information Office, the "Tibet in my eyes" competition was launched in 2010. The third competition started at the end of 2014 with four categories of awards: photos, cell phone photos, videos and social welfare. A total of more 3000 pieces of works have been collected.

According to the competition schedule, outstanding works selected will be on tour exhibitions between September and December. Piror to the one in Lhasa, a first round exhibition has been held at the District Tibetan Culture Promotion Center of the 798 Art District in Beijing. The third exhibition in Tibet is a showcase of these works at their birthplace.

This exhibition will go on until Oct. 28. Announcement of competition results and prize presentation will take place in December.
