Norbulingka to be free for visitors during Spring Festival, Losar

The Management Office of Norbulingka, the Summer Palace of the Dalai Lamas, said on January 17 that the palace will be open to visitors free of charge during the Spring Festival and Tibetan New Year (also known as Losar). The opening hours will be from 9:30 to 18:00.

According to a series of special preferential policies implemented by Tibet for tourists coming in winter, level 5A tourist attractions such as the Potala Palace will be free for tourists during the Spring Festival and the Tibetan New Year.

Reporters learned that the Spring Festival and the Tibetan New Year fall on the same day this year, and during the festival, fire trucks will be on standby in the Norbulingka.
