Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery to sell woodcut paintings online

The famous Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery in Dege County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province has reached a cooperative relationship with a network technology company. Under the cooperation, a total of thirty pieces of woodcut paintings from  the lamasery will be  sold on the company's online platform.   

The Dege Scripture Printing Lamasery is known as “A Cultural Treasure of Tibetans,” housing a large amount of precious woodcuts of Tibetan sutras and paintings. The 30 pieces of woodcut paintings on sale are all printed on local Langdu paper, which is moisture-proof and anticorrosive, and one piece of the woodcut painting has a history of more than 800 years.  

Zhou Haitao, vice general manager of Guo Xiao Mei Network Technology Company, said after packaging and promoting of the woodcut paintings, they will show the paintings around mid-March on the platform.
