5.8-magnitude quake hits Tibet: CENC

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Xaitongmoin County in Xigaze Prefecture, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region at 3:32 a.m. Monday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 30.32 degrees north latitude and 87.64 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 8 km, the center said.
