Enjoying horse racing event in Tibet

A horse racing event was held during the 6th Tea-Horse Road Tourism and Culture Festival in Mangkam County, east Tibet, September 4. The photo shows the horse racing event was being held.

A total of 120 horses, divided into 12 teams, participated in the contest. The horses winning the first place in each team were awarded as upper class horses, those winning the second place as middle class horses and those winning the third place as lower class horses. Then, the top three horses from each team joined in the final and the new first three would be awarded.
