China Central enterprises invest 8.2 bln to help Tibet develop

The signing ceremony of "China central enterprises entering Tibet" projects was held in Lhasa, capital city of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region recently.

China central enterprises signed contracts for 12 cooperation projects, invested 8.2 billion yuan and injected new impetus  into Tibet's economic and social development.

The projects involve civil aviation, tourism, energy, urban construction, agricultural and husbandry technology and so on, including the projects of Shigatse municipal corridor management, comprehensive logistics, sewage management and collection systems, signed by Shigatse city and Sinoma Tianhe (Beijing) Investment Co., Ltd, China National Building Materials Group and Nyemo Photovoltaic Geothermal project signed by Lhasa city and China Rich Energy Co., Ltd.  

The projects will promote Tibet's opening-up and cooperation, promote Tibet’s integration of the "Belt and Road" strategy, and speed up construction of main channels to south Asia so as to have a positive effects on Tibet’s economic and social development, according to experts.

More than 140 investment agreements have been reached with various domestic and foreign investorswith the total investment of 100 billion yuan, during the third Tibet Expo.
