China spends big in stimulating employment in Tibet

China has granted a total of 439 million yuan to the Tibet Autonomous Region in the form of special subsidies for employment by transfer payment and guided Tibet to carryout government subsidized vocational training for 402.8 thousand persons during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period(2011-2015). 26 thousand positions in total in enterprise & public institutions have been provided by provinces and cities giving counterpart-aid to Tibet. There were 182 thousand new employment opportunities created in urban Tibet.   

During the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the central finance system subsidized 3.02 billion yuan to Tibet for a variety of social security funds, and has raised the standard of Tibet special allowances three times with increases in the wage levels of cadres and workers, according to the data released by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
