Tibetan art works displayed in National Museum of China

The 3rd annual “Biennale Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Industrial Arts” was opened in the National Museum of China, Beijing, July 10, Tibet Business reported.

The art works of Luobusida, the only state-level successor of the Miansa Thangka School, as well as 6 state-level artists’ works such as Luobuzhandui are part of the exhibition.

There are a total of 8 pieces of art work from Tibet taking part in this exhibition, amongst which, there are 4 pieces of Thangka and 4 pieces of metal forging.

The “Biennale Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Industrial Arts” for this year is composed of two sections, namely “Inheriting the old tradition, and creating wonderful artwork” and “Generation to generation, revealing the glory”.

The “Inheriting the old tradition, and creating wonderful artwork” section includes the four exhibition halls of jade carving, stone carving, bamboo-wood carving and traditional furniture; the “Generation to generation, revealing the glory” section includes the four exhibition halls of ceramics, lacquer, embroidered Thangka as well as metal industrial arts.
