A 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province at 3: 14 p.m. Beijing Time on Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was initially monitored at 32.85 degrees north latitude and 94.89 degrees east longitude.
