First Tibetan voice system for driving test put into operation

It is reported that the Gansu Province in northwest China has officially put its first set of Tibetan voice system for driving test into operation in the Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, for the first time the province using Tibetan language in such exam.

The system currently contains more than 1,700 questions for the theoretical part of the driving test, and it will facilitate applicants to accurately understand the test questions to identify the answer via voice broadcast in Tibetan and bilingual display in Tibetan and Chinese.

According to traffic polices, the system is not only convenient for Tibetan learners to apply for a motor vehicle driver's license, but also more conducive to enhance drivers’ awareness to comply with traffic rules and to improve their driving skills to ensure traffic safety on the road.
