14-year-old Tenzin Ngodrup touches the braille as he reads. Although he’s only in sixth grade, he’s very happy to be able to expand his knowledge, learn to sing and be in a group of friends willing to help each other.
14-year-old Dorje Tsering has amblyopic eyes. He loves playing football and even plays like a professional football player.
20-year-old Tsering Droma also came to the school for the blind due to her disabled leg. The school started a weaving class at which she weaves handicrafts to be sold online, earning the school a small profit.
16-year-old Dawa Tsering, from Shigatse’s Gyantse County, is blind in both eyes and arrived at the school aged 10. When typing the words “dazzling spring” on a braille typewriter, he said that he learned these words in third grade, where he read about the color of spring.
A teacher at the blind school, Nyima Tsering, with the help of a braille audio machine, uses a computer to hold class and go online.
Sonam Dorje, whose situation is slightly better, takes Pasang Tenzin on his bike to allow him to feel the joy of riding a bike.

22-year-old Samdrup is from Shigatse’s Dindjie County. He was once a student at the school but is now the music teacher.
