Tibetans celebrate 'Zanba Festival' in Qinghai

People are covered in zanba, a Tibetan food made from roasted barley flour, in Yushu, northwestern China’s Qinghai Province on April 18, 2017 to mark “zanba festival,” which falls on the 22nd day of the second month on the Tibetan calendar. People throw zanba in each other’s faces for good luck and to wish for a bountiful harvest. The flour isn’t wasted — it is collected and fed to livestock. (Photo: China News Service/Luo Yunpeng)
