ChinaTibetannet     Shangri-La No. 1 Middle School celebrated its 50th birthday on September 22 with over 5,000 former students and teaching staff attended.
 Shangri-La No. 1 Middle School ranks the first school in Shangri-La of Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. In last 50 years, Shangri-La No. 1 Middle School becomes a 3rd level middle school with 8,801 square meters teaching rooms and 335 mu (a unit of area, equals to 1/15 hektare) school area.
 With 2,311 students in 40 classes and 174 teaching staffs, the school has cultivated 10,000 graduates.
