ChinaTibetannet   Tourism income of 2006 is expected to reach 2.8 billion yuan (about 350 million US dollars), up by 45 percent year-on-year, forecasted by Tibet Tourism Bureau.
Qinghai-Tibet Railway which was launched in July 1 is the biggest stimulus of the tourism booming in this year.
Up to July 31, about 118,000 tourists were carried by trains via Qinghai-Tibet Railway passing in and out Tibet.
 In addition, excited by the plateau railway, tourists entering Tibet by air, bus and self-driving auto also rose largely.
